Dr. Wei Shu is a leading expert in semiconductor and electronic circuit designs, with a vision to transform the space and semiconductor industry. He is the co-founder and CTO of Zero-Error Systems (ZES), a Singapore-based company that provides innovative semiconductor electronics solutions that enable semiconductor COTS into space by intelligently mitigating various radiation effects. Dr. Shu oversees the R&D activities of ZES, including product development, manufacturing, qualification, and customer engagement.
He has secured more than $4M in R&D contracts since joining ZES in 2020, and has developed and delivered various products for both space and commercial markets. He and his colleagues have also filed 26 patents, of which 6 have been granted.
Before co-founding ZES, Dr. Shu was a program manager and senior research scientist at Temasek Laboratories (Singapore), a prestigious national research center. He and his team successfully completed several research projects worth more than $10M, some of which led to the spin-off of ZES.
Dr. Shu obtained his B.Eng and Ph.D. in electrical and electronic engineering from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, in 2005 and 2010 respectively. His areas of expertise include highly-reliable electronics/Integrated Circuits/Application Specific Integrated Circuit for space applications, power management ICs, audio power amplifier, high-speed data converters and low-voltage low-power analog ASIC for micro- electromechanical systems (MEMS).
