About the Role
Zero-Error Systems (ZES) is seeking versatile, detail-oriented Field Application Engineering – Manager. In this role, you will work closely with the sales and engineering team to identify customer needs, develop technical solutions, and ensure the successful implementation and optimization of ZES’ products. Working in a dynamic, fast-paced, development environment, you will also play a crucial role in providing technical support and expertise to customers. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge, customer interaction, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Support and Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing their queries and providing technical support.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements and provide tailored solutions.
- Provide effective FAE support to customers for ZES products, through alignment with internal sales teams and engineering team.
2. Pre-Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and develop technical proposals.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of product demonstrations and technical presentations to potential customers.
- Provide technical input for the development of sales strategies and proposals.
3. Technical Expertise and Solution Development:
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products.
- Develop and customize technical solutions to meet specific customer requirements.
- Partner closely with the engineering team to provide customer feedback and influence product improvements.
4. Post-Sales Support:
- Ensure successful product implementation and integration at customer sites.
- Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting to resolve customer issues.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical documentation, including application notes, user guides, and technical reports.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and solutions.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on customer activities and support issues.
6. Any other duties assigned
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the region.
- Proven experience in a field application engineering or similar technical support role for semiconductor components, including power management IC, MCU/FPGA is preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently as well as a good team player
- Detail-oriented, with a strategic outlook and a focus on driving results.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites and industry events as required.
