Junior Analog IC Designer

Zero-Error Systems (ZES) is currently seeking a Junior Analog Integrated Circuit (IC) Designer to join our team and help us revolutionize the industry. The Analog IC Designer will work with other designs to work different analog IC designs for various applications including commercial, automotive and space.

About the Role
  • Position Title: Junior Analog IC Designer
  • Department: Engineering
  • Reports to: Chief Technology Officer
Key Responsibilities
  • Development of Analog ICs from specification to prototype
  • Design of schematic and layout of Analog ICs and pre- and post- simulations verifications
  • Test and debug of Analog IC prototypes
  • Characterization and validation of the performance of IC prototypes
  • Functional verifications for different applications
  • Work with the team lead to deliver circuit blocks design and performance verifications
  • Guide the layout engineer to deliver the physical design
  • Support the team lead for design integrations
  • Support test engineers during product qualification process
  • Any other duties assigned
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • Strong experience in analog circuit design, layout, and verification, particularly bandgap, amplifier, comparator, LDO, current sensing, power switch, etc.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Cadence, Spectre, HSPICE, and Matlab
  • Familiarity with CMOS, BiCMOS, and other process technologies
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Preferably 2 years of experience in analog IC design with 2 IC product tapeouts
  • Strong expertise in power management including DC/DC converter design.
  • Is a good team player and results-oriented

  • Circuit Design - Successful delivery of the schematic circuit design of the functional blocks that meet the specifications 
  • Physical Design – Together with the layout engineer, successful delivery of the physical IC design of the functional blocks that meet the specifications

Zero-Error Systems (ZES) is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our dynamic and fast-growing semiconductor Integrated Circuit (IC) design startup company. As the Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial health of the organization and contribute to its strategic growth and success. This position requires a strong background in finance, accounting and business acumen, with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting roles, preferably within the semiconductor industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning and Analysis:
    • Develop and execute financial planning strategies, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support the company's long-term goals and objectives.
    • Analyze financial data, identify key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide insights to senior management to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
    • Monitor financial performance and variances against budgets and forecasts, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Accounting and Reporting:
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions in compliance with relevant accounting principles and standards.
    • Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide a clear overview of the company's financial position.
    • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure smooth and successful completion of the annual audit process.
  • Financial Operations:
    • Manage the company's financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
    • Implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraudulent activities.
    • Evaluate financial and operational processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Cash Flow Management:
    • Monitor and maintain cash flow projections to ensure adequate liquidity and optimal utilization of financial resources.
    • Develop strategies to optimize working capital and manage cash flow fluctuations.
  • Grants, Compliance and Regulatory Requirements:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
    • Manage grant reimbursement submissions.
  • Investor Relations:
    • Work closely with senior management to provide financial insights and data for investor presentations and meetings.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to address investor queries and enhance investor confidence.
  • Other areas of support:
    • Work with the CEO and Senior Management to manage cash flow.
    • Support the CEO with data for investor management and fund raising.
    • Take lead in establishing business processes for finance.
  • Any other duties assigned

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g. CPA, CMA) is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Previous experience within the semiconductor industry or related high-tech sectors is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
  • Proficient in financial modelling and data analysis tools, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a team of finance professionals.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical mindset, with a strategic outlook and a focus on driving results.
  • Strong expertise in semiconductor foundry or fabless IC design company will be an advantage.

  • Financial metrics - Manage and report on all KPI’s related to finance  
  • Inventory management financial metrics - Work with planning team to monitor inventory
